Privacy Policy

Maidaan (“Maidaan”, “we”, “us”) operates a sports-booking platform that connects players with venues. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the players app and the venue-admin portal.

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account & profile: your name, contact number, profile type (player or venue admin), profile photo, and skill level.
• Bookings & matches: venues you book, slots you reserve, matches you organise or join, and related activity.
• Venue-owner enquiries: if you request a venue listing, the contact details you submit to us.
• Authentication: credentials you use to sign in and session cookies that keep you logged in.
• Technical data: your IP address (used to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse), device/browser information, and diagnostic error data.

• To create and manage your account and profile.
• To process bookings and organise matches.
• To connect players with venues and, where you ask, with each other.
• To share your email and phone number with the host and organizers of events or tournaments you join, so they can reach you about that listing.
• To keep the platform secure, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits.
• To diagnose errors and improve performance and reliability.

Your data is stored in our managed PostgreSQL database and file storage, protected by row-level security. We rely on a small set of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting and anonymous usage analytics.
• Upstash — rate-limiting (processes IP addresses transiently).
• Sentry — error monitoring and diagnostics.

These providers may store data on servers located outside your country. We only share data with them to the extent needed to provide the service.

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

Subject to applicable law, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

Maidaan is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
